Happy Hounds Dog Day Care is owned and operated by Nancy Janoch, a resident of Plymouth, who has been a dog and animal lover since early childhood. Growing up with dogs led her to the training, showing, and breeding of dogs early on. This led to interest in rescue groups, dog clubs, dog shows, training classes, and the entire "world of dogs." Dogs are a real part of Nancy's life, and she has had many "furry best friends" throughout the years.

Nancy worked 20+ years in the hectic world of corporate management, being the Director of Purchasing for a $500 million company. Continuing with owning and training dogs throughout her business career, she always wanted to spend more time with nature and the dogs! 

So, deciding to leave the corporate world behind, she put her business knowledge to work towards her first love...DOGS! She opened her own professional in-home petsitting business which is still running very successfully today. After six years she sold that business to her #1 pet sitter to relocate from Cleveland, Ohio to Plymouth, Michigan. 

Today, Nancy is the proud owner of Happy Hounds Dog Day Care, along with her partner in life and business, Jim Thompson. "The pet care business continues to evolve and grow," says Nancy. "It was only 10 years ago when in-home petsitting businesses were new. Today's pet is truly a member of the family even more so, and Dog Day Care is the perfect next level of care that people want and need for their pets. Our cage-free overnight boarding in a totally complete at-home environment adds another level of hands-on pet care service to Happy Hounds.  I am so excited about being able to spend my whole work day, and many of my nights with such wonderful dogs!" Nancy brings over 30 years experience from the "world of dogs" to Happy Hounds Dog Day Care.
